Karen enjoys working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, co-occurring concerns, self-esteem difficulties, and attachment and relationship challenges. Karen’s approach integrates evidence-based and clinically informed therapeutic approaches:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that may contribute to anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. Through CBT, clients develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen confidence, and improve emotional well-being.
- Solution-Focused Therapy: Builds upon clients' existing strengths and focuses on practical, achievable steps toward their goals. This forward-looking approach can help create hope and momentum during times of feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
- Attachment-Based Therapy: Explores how early relationships and attachment experiences may influence current emotional responses and relationship patterns. This approach can help clients develop greater insight and work toward healthier, more secure connections with themselves and others.
Karen’s style is compassionate, collaborative, and supportive. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can process difficult emotions and life experiences while identifying strengths, developing effective coping skills, and gaining greater insight into themselves and their relationships. Her approach is grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, with counseling tailored to each client's individual needs and goals.
Karen earned a Master of Science from Grand Canyon University and completed her clinical mental health training at Associates for Life Enhancement, Inc. in Northfield, New Jersey. She has pursued additional training in anxiety disorders and maternal mental health through Postpartum Support International.
Karen is passionate about helping people recognize their strengths, challenge limiting beliefs, and build more fulfilling relationships. Her goal is to help clients move beyond simply managing symptoms toward greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and confidence in navigating life's challenges.
Change begins with one small step — let’s take it together.
