With more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Karen is a Licensed Professional Counselor who brings warmth, insight, and practical tools to help clients create meaningful, lasting change. She is registered to provide telemental health services to residents of Florida and approved to provide telehealth services in Delaware, making therapy more accessible and flexible for her clients.

Karen specializes in working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, dual disorders, self-esteem struggles, and attachment or relationship challenges. She also has extensive experience supporting law enforcement personnel, first responders, health care workers, educators and municipal employees, as well as providing Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and consultation for small businesses and local municipalities.

Additionally, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is another type of therapy that emphasizes strengths and possibilities rather than problems. Together, we focus on what’s working, build on your existing resources, and create small, achievable steps toward your goals — helping you move forward with hope and clarity.

Karen’s approach integrates several evidence-based modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps clients identify and reframe negative thoughts and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. Through CBT, clients learn healthier ways to cope, build confidence, and take control of their emotional well-being.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy: Encourages clients to identify existing strengths and small, achievable steps toward their goals. This forward-looking approach helps people find hope and movement, even when feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
  • Attachment-Based and Supportive Therapy: Karen understands that many emotional struggles stem from early relationships and patterns of attachment. She helps clients explore these dynamics to build stronger, more secure connections — both with others and within themselves.

Karen’s style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. She works to create a safe, trusting environment where clients can gain insight, develop coping strategies, and move toward greater self-acceptance and emotional balance.

Karen Graduated with a Master in Science from Grand Canyon University. She received her mental health training at Associates for Life Enhancement, Inc. in Northfield, New Jersey, and has pursued specialized training in Anxiety Disorders through the University of Pennsylvania and Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International.

Karen is deeply passionate about helping people recognize their inner strengths, break free from limiting beliefs, and build more fulfilling relationships. Her goal is to help clients not only heal, but thrive — developing a stronger sense of self and the confidence to live more fully and authentically.

Change begins with one small step — let’s take it together.
